In light of this, would you care to comment on the agenda of public education to bring about cultural awareness & sensitivity training? This is no loaded question, it is simply that I've noticed that the unified school districts in my area (I don't know about other states) have a plan for teaching cultural awareness which includes sensitivity training and diversity training beyond ethnic topics, but extending into "sexual culture" and "sexual diversity." We've been discussing this at length around here, more so, since our governor approved SB 777 - outlawing the use of "mom," "dad," "husband," "wife," and any other language that would offend anyone with a non-traditional sexual culture. At first glance, it may seem that people are making too big an issue of outlawing words or allowing boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose; however, this bill was widely supported by the state teacher's unions, who, again, have an agenda to bring about cultural awareness and diversity training throughout all of public education.
